Directions for: Dad's Dry Ribs and Caesar Salad
Ingredients
Dad's Dry Ribs and Caesar Sala3 lb(s) (1350 gms) Lean Pork or Beef Ribs
tsp Salt
tsp Freshly Ground Pepper
Cooked Ribs
1 head Leaf Lettuce
Easy Caesar Dressing3 Tbsp Gourmet Caesar Salad Dressing Mixed with.....
3 Tbsp Lowest Fat Mayonnaise (Mega flavour but lower fat)
Parmesan or Cheddar (Optional)
Alternative Rub Mixture2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Paprika
1 tsp Dry Mustard
1 tsp Mrs.Dash Garlic and Herb Seasoning
Directions
Dad's Dry Ribs and Caesar Sala1. Take out equipment and ingredients.
2. on the weekend: Preheat oven to 400 F. Place ribs on broiler pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper or smear with alternative rub mixture, recipe below.
3. Place in preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes on each side.
4. Reduce oven heat to 275 F. Cover ribs with foil and cook for 4-5 hours.
5. Cover with plastic wrap and place in fridge.
6. Just before dinner: Preheat oven to 350 F. Place ribs on broiler pan and place in preheated oven. Set timer for 10 minutes, turn ribs, and set timer for another 10 minutes.
Easy Caesar Dressing1. Meanwhile: Tear lettuce in bite size pieces directly into salad spinner. Rinse and spin dry.
2. Arrange lettuce on serving plates. Blend dressing with mayonnaise in a coffee mug and drizzle evenly over lettuce.
3. Grating a little Parmesan or cheddar on top is a really nice touch for appearance and taste.
Alternative Rub Mixture1. Rub Mixture Instructions: Mix the following together in a small bowl; brown sugar, paprika, dry mustard, and Mrs.Dash Garlic and Herb seasoning.
