The Fancy Frankfurter
Take your hot dog to whole new heights with this fanciful recipe, complete with toppings like caviar, vegetable chips, chanterelle and morel mushrooms and grainy mustard.

Ingredients

1 pack puff pastry

Sesame seeds

Truffle oil

cup mayonnaise

cup chanterelle mushrooms, sliced

cup morel mushrooms, sliced

1 tsp oil

2 jumbo hot dogs, grilled

2 Tbsp grainy mustard

2 tsp caviar

1 bag beet and yam chips

Directions

1. Lightly flour a work surface and place down the puff pastry. Preheat your oven as per package instructions. Roll the puff pastry out to be half an inch thick. Cut the puff pastry out to a hot dog bun shape. Cut into the pastry where the hot dog bun will fold. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cook as per the package directions.

2. in a small bowl add truffle oil to mayonnaise. the amount of truffle oil you use is personal preference.

3. Add the mushrooms to a frying pan with oil on medium heat. Saut for 2-4 minutes and remove from heat.

4. to assemble, place hot dog along the seam of the puff pastry. Fold the pastry around the hot dog. Add the grainy mustard, caviar, truffle aioli, beet chips, yam chips, and mushrooms.
