Directions for: Sausage and Sauerkraut Soup
Ingredients
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 red onion, sliced thinly
2 clove garlic, minced
tsp dried thyme
1 tsp caraway seeds
3 cup beef stock
1 cup flat beer
4 cooked sausages, sliced
1 cup sauerkraut, drained
German mustard
Directions
1. Melt butter in pot over medium heat. Add red onion, garlic, thyme and caraway seeds. Cook for five minutes. Add beef stock and beer. Cook on medium low for twenty minutes.
2. Add sauerkraut and sausages. Bring to boil and turn off. to serve ladle into bowls and top with German mustard.
