Sirloin Steak with Green Bean Pasta Salad
Greens, pasta and steak? this salad is a perfect meal!
Directions for: Sirloin Steak with Green Bean Pasta Salad

Ingredients

1 lb(s) sirloin steak, about an inch thick

cup chopped fresh oregano, (or 2 teaspoons dried)

cup olive oil

cup wine vinegar

2 Tbsp lemon, juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Dijon mustard

tsp pepper

tsp salt

1 cup fusilli

1 cup rotini

1 lb(s) green beans, trimmed

1 cup cherry tomato, halved

Directions

1. Place steak in shallow dish.

2. in small bowl whisk together oregano, 2 tablespoons (25 mL) of the oil, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, pepper and salt.

3. Remove 2 tablespoons (25 mL) and pour over steak, turning to coat; marinate for 15 minutes.

4. Whisk remaining oil into lemon mixture for dressing; set aside.

5. Meanwhile, in large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta for 7 minutes.

6. Add green beans; cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until pasta is tender but firm and beans are tender-crisp.

7. Drain and chill under cold water; drain well and place in bowl.

8. Add tomatoes and dressing; toss to coat.

9. Meanwhile, place steak on greased grill over medium-high heat or under broiler; cook turning once, for 8 to 10 minutes for medium-rare or to desired doneness.

10. Transfer to cutting board; tent with foil and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.

11. Serve on top of salad.
