Directions for: Cheezy Wheezy
Ingredients
1 - 2 cup elbow pasta (3 cups cooked)
3 lb(s) medium ground beef
1 Tbsp thyme
1 Tbsp kosher salt
1 Tbsp ground black pepper
3 cup milk
3 Tbsp butter
6 Tbsp macaroni and cheese powder
7 burger buns
7 slices Swiss cheese
lettuce (optional)
tomato, sliced (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat grill.
2. in a medium pot, bring lightly salted water to boil; add macaroni noodles and cook for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are soft.
3. Drain noodles and set aside.
4. in a large bowl, stir together ground beef, thyme, kosher salt, and black pepper until spices are evenly distributed in the beef.
5. Divide mixture into 7 patties and flatten.
6. in a shallow pan over medium heat, combine milk, butter, and cooked macaroni noodles. when mixture starts to foam, add cheese powder and mix well until combined.
7. Keep macaroni and cheese warm over low heat until assembly.
8. Place burgers on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side; flip burger and continue cooking until juice runs clear. Add buns to the grill to toast.
9. One minute before removing the patty from the grill, top burger with macaroni mixture and 1 slice of Swiss cheese.
10. Dress toasted buns with lettuce and tomatoes, to taste; add cooked burger to the bun and serve.
