Directions for: Chicken-Fried Steak with Smashed Potatoes and Peas
Ingredients
Potatoes6 large thin skin potatoes
1 tsp butter
cup milk
Chicken1 cup 1% milk
1 cup flour
tsp Mrs. Dash Original Seasoning
tsp pepper
Butter-flavoured cooking spray
Tenderized beef cutlets (900 g)
Wax paper
Peas4 cup frozen baby peas
Directions
Potatoes1. Wash potatoes, cut in half and place in a large stove-top pot of cold water. Bring to a full boil at high. once boiling, reduce heat to medium.
2. Set timer for 15 minutes or until you can easily pierce with a knife.
3. Drain potatoes and mash with butter and milk.
Chicken1. Pour milk into a wide bottom bowl.
2. Combine flour, and spice, on a large piece of waxed paper.
3. Spray a large nonstick fry pan with cooking spray. Set at med-high heat.
4. Dredge meat in flour, then milk then flour and toss into hot pan.
5. Dont play with the steak, let it brown thoroughly then spray the top side of beef before flipping.
Peas1. Rinse peas in a colander. Place in a microwave-safe pot or casserole dish. Cover and microwave at high for 4 minutes, then let stand.
2. when everything is ready, stir peas and reheat for 2 additional minutes.
