Maple Sirloin with Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

Maple Sirloin

30 - 36 oz flank steak

cup pure maple syrup

2 Tbsp soy sauce

2 Tbsp salad oil

1 Tbsp lemon juice

cup red wine vinegar

2 tsp garlic powder

1 Tbsp black pepper

Pinch of salt

Blue Cheese Dressing

cup blue cheese, crumbled

2 cups mayonnaise

1 cup buttermilk

Tbsp garlic powder

Tbsp mustard powder

Tbsp black pepper

Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Tbsp Franks Red Hot

Tbsp salt

1 Tbsp red wine vinegar

Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes

10 baking potatoes

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

Directions

Maple Sirloin

1. in a medium bowl, stir together maple syrup, soy sauce, salad oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.

2. Cut flank steak into 6 ounce pieces.

3. Place sliced steak into the marinade; cover and refrigerate overnight.

Blue Cheese Dressing

1. Mix ingredients together and set aside.

Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes

1. Preheat grill.

2. Peel and place potatoes in a large pot of water.

3. Bring to boil and cook for about 20 minutes, until potatoes are fork tender.

4. Grill flank steaks for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until steaks reach an internal temperature of 125F.

5. Drain potatoes and mash, leaving lumps.

6. Add blue cheese dressing and finish mashing.

7. when no longer lumpy, add salt and pepper, to taste.
