Directions for: Kid-Friendly Cheeseburger Pizza
Ingredients
8 oz (250 g) lean ground beef
onion, diced
cup (60 mL) dill pickles, chopped (optional)
1 Tbsp (15 mL) yellow mustard or Dijon mustard
tsp (2 mL) dried oregano
tsp (1 mL) each salt and pepper
1 lb(s) (500 g) pizza dough
cup (75 mL) pizza sauce or tomato pasta sauce
1 tomato, thinly sliced
cup (125 mL) each Cheddar cheese and Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions
1. in skillet, fry beef and onion over medium-high heat, breaking up with spoon, until beef is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Drain off fat; stir in pickles, mustard, oregano, salt and pepper.
2. on lightly floured surface, roll dough to 12-inch (30 cm) circle; transfer to greased pizza pan.
3. Spread sauce over dough; top evenly with beef mixture. Top with sliced tomato and sprinkle with cheeses. Bake in bottom third of preheated 475F (240C) oven until cheese is bubbly and crust is deep golden, 15 to 18 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into wedges.
