Sirloin and Gorgonzola Pasta

Sirloin and Gorgonzola Pasta
Fetching top dollar in any restaurant, this meal is actually quite simple to make for yourself at home.
Directions for: Sirloin and Gorgonzola Pasta

Ingredients

1 Tbsp vegetable oil

8 oz top sirloin grilling steak

2 onion, sliced

2 cup sliced mushroom

2 Tbsp all purpose flour

tsp salt

tsp pepper

1 cup milk

5 cup rigatoni pasta, (about 12 oz)

3 oz blue cheese, crumbled

3 oz gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

1 plum tomato, seeded, and, chopped

sweet yellow pepper, diced

1 green onion, sliced

8 chives, approximately

Directions

1. in large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat; cook steak, turning once, for 8 to 10 minutes or until browned outside and medium-rare inside.

2. Transfer to cutting board; cut across the grain into thin strips.

3. Cover and keep warm.

4. Add onions and mushrooms to skillet; cook, stirring often, for 8 minutes or until no mushroom liquid remains.

5. Sprinkle with flour, salt and pepper; cook, stirring, for 1 minute.

6. Whisk milk into pan; bring to boil.

7. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, for about 5 minutes or until slightly thickened and coats back of spoon.

8. Meanwhile, in large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta for 6 to 8 minutes or until tender but firm; drain and return to pot.

9. Add sauce and cheese; toss to coat.

10. Transfer to serving bowl.

11. Top with reserved steak; sprinkle with tomato, pepper and onion. Toss to serve.
