Directions for: Beef Biryani Skillet
Ingredients
1 Tbsp (15 mL) oil
1 onion, chopped
1 lb(s) (500 g) lean ground beef
1 cup (250 mL) UNCLE BEN'S Basmati Rice
1 jar (320 mL) prepared biryani sauce
cup (125 mL) water
cup (125 mL) sultana raisins
cup (60 mL) fresh cilantro leaves
cup (60 mL) plain yogurt
cup (60 mL) slivered almonds, toasted
Directions
1. Heat the oil in a large, nonstick skillet set over medium heat. Add the onion; cook for 5 minutes or until softened. Add the ground beef; cook for 5 minutes or until browned.
2. Stir in the UNCLE BENS Basmati Rice until evenly coated. Add the biryani sauce, water and raisins; bring to a boil. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
3. Stir in the cilantro and divide evenly between plates. Garnish with a dollop of yogurt and slivered almonds.
